  1. The organization recognizes the opinion leaders, critics and improvers. Progressive interviews of individuals and groups tell the organization's own story.
  2. Retrospectives and experiential workshops reveal more of the organization's dynamics.
  3. Stories differ from the reality. Coaching and hands-on participation to the work give more reliable information. The members of the organization are blind to culture's many aspects, that an outsider is able to recognize.
  4. Te best way to understand a system is to change it. The real forces behind the decisions are usually not on the surface. The response to a small change tells about these forces, the strongest habits, fears, basic assumptions, interests and power structures.
